How this page is graded

Every entry carries a grade describing what the work claims about the real world, not how good it is. Quality is what the Noided and Grim ratings are for, and those stay on the book pages.

Documented. Non fiction. The claims rest on the public record: testimony, parliamentary inquiry, declassified material. Where specialists dispute part of it, the dispute is named.

Contested. Non fiction whose central claim is argued by serious researchers and rejected by others. Read it with the counter argument in hand.

Disputed. Non fiction that is substantially challenged, or whose sourcing is thin, or whose author has a documented interest in the story being told. Kept because it is part of the literature, flagged so it is not mistaken for the record.

Dramatization. Fiction built directly on documented events, naming real people or real operations. The events are real, the scenes are invented.

Fiction. Invented throughout. Belongs here because of what it makes thinkable, not because of what it reports.
